Pat’s final wish for our Club to hold a special charity night to raise funds for St Bede’s hospice for their help, care and support in her final weeks.

We held this on Thursday 14 July and what an enjoyable night it was for everyone. Special thanks goes to Linda Dodsworth and Marjorie Ellison for all their hard work in the kitchen and everyone else who helped to tidy up and wash dishes.

The main course food was supplied by Jackson’s Farm Fayre and the beef puddings were beautiful.

We had over 20 raffle prizes and the entertainment was by Chris James who was Pat’s choice and she arranged payment for his contribution.

Finally, we raised £1,260 on the night and Caroline from St Bede’s was delighted to receive this and thanked everyone. The monies raised will go towards the upgrading of the garden facilities.A massive thanks to everyone in the Club for their support. Pat we did you proud.
