Mixed Triples Competition

On 17 July, a very hot day, we held the triples mixed competition with Eight teams competing in two groups with the winners of each group playing each other in the final.

Thanks again to Linda and George for looking after the competition and Marjorie Ellison for looking after our refreshments on the day.

Special thanks goes to Eric Watson and Bob Stevens for stepping in as replacements at very short notice.

The final was very competitive match with the outcome being settled on the last bowl.

The final score was 12-11 after 9 ends.

The winners this year were David Thompson, Lynn Lowthian and Paul Langley. Runners up were Barry McGranaghan, Pat Wright and Geoff Challis. Elsie Dodds presented the trophy and gave a vote of thanks.
