Pat Johnson, obituary
Sadly Pat Johnson died on Tuesday 21 June after her battle with Big C. She died peacefully with daughter Allison and son Michael with her in her final moments.
Pat was a remarkable lady who was without doubt a big asset for our Club. She was a great ambassador and was very proud of what our club offered besides bowls. Pat held many posts at the Club over the years and lead by example.
Pat was totally involved in all aspects of our Club and always made time to talk to everyone. She organised many events and raised thousands for our club.
Pat played bowls to a high standard and won many internal and local club competitions. In 2015, she played in a ladies four team at Bowls England Club in Leamington Spa. At County level she was highly respected and was Lady President of the county as well as representing and playing for Durham.
In my opinion Pat was Mrs Lyndhurst and will be sadly missed by everyone. Her final wish was that we hold a charity night for her and all monies raised would go to St Bedes hospice.
George.
