1950s Bowling Club at Beamish
Our Development Team Leader, David Bolt, attended the opening of the replica 1950s Bowling Club at Beamish Outdoor Museum in County Durham today. He has provided guidance and assisted with marking up the green with County Umpire Brian Brown.
The club is a replica of John Whitehead Park BC in Teeside, whose members attended the opening as part of the event. It is part of a large 1950s village and will be open for the public to give bowls a try on their visits to the outdoor museum.
We are looking forward to assisting the museum with events in the future to bring the sport to some of the 850,000 visitors each year.
