Finals Weekend 2023

This year we had to change a few times around to assist our members.

The first match on Saturday afternoon was the Ladies Handicap with Yesi Smith playing Paula Bolan and what a final it was. Paula started off well and at one stage was 15-5 up. Yesi came back and eventually won 21-19.

The next matches were the Men’s handicap and the Ladies’ pairs final at 4.00pm on Saturday.

The Men’s Handicap was between Frank Close and Ian Smith and initially the first ten ends were tight but Frank managed to find his line slightly better than Ian and won his final 21-13.

The Ladies’ pairs final was between Yesi Smith and Lynn Lowthian against Margaret Hindson and Linda Dodsworth. The final was played over 18 ends and was another close match with Yesi and Lynn winning 17-15.
